NAKS is an Ahmedabad Based startup. The newly launched electric cycle has been garnering attention all over India. It is a quirky but impressive electric bicycle. This EV, the Limited Edition NAKS-90 Pro, is priced at INR 30,999. Compared to many other options available in India, this a reasonably priced product. The vendors, Motorkit India, claim it to be the electric cycle with the smoothest pedal assist system (PAS).
The NAKS Limited Edition NAKS-90 Pro is undeniably a show-stopper.
Due to its straightforward, lightweight, and slim design, if you were to look at it from the front, you might mistake it for a typical bicycle. You’ll see how off-base you were once you step to the side. The controller is mounted on a vertical seat tube with an all-weather water-resistant, dust-proof IP-rated cover, and NAKS has given the battery pack a detachable box on the structure. The metal frame is aerodynamic and attractive as well.
Unlike the majority of e-bikes, this one has a dustproof Smoothest PAS sensor with 12 magnets and Twin Hall effect sensors instead of a Normal PAS sensor. That is the main distinction this e-bike makes.
It also has a high torque BLDC hub motor with 250watts of continuous power, among other technical specifications. This can be used in conjunction with three different lithium-ion battery configurations, each of which has a range of 25, 33, or 40 kilometres and can be fully charged in 2.5 to 3.5 hours.
Contrary to most e-bikes or electric cycles, NAKS offers customised options instead, including a range of PAS modes, colour options, and battery types. However, the startup asserts that this EV can still reach a top speed of 25 kmph when fully loaded with up to 90 kg. To support that performance, the Limited Edition includes additional hardware that is just as capable. On rough roads, a front suspension of high quality provides a smooth ride. 160mm discs with high friction callipers are used for both the front and rear brakes.
