Convert your normal cycle into an electric cycle. Yes! That too is possible. Indian market is price sensitive. Most people cannot afford to spend upwards of Rs.25000 on an electric cycle.

Besides small towns and villages in India would not have shops selling electric cycles, let alone service centers and repair shops. Roads in villages are not always paved resulting in increased wear and tear, which in turn raises the need for maintenance etc.

An electric cycle conversion kit is a better choice for such a budget-conscious market. Indians are famous for “jugaad”, and are capable of assembling the conversion kit from the instructions provided.
Thus good quality conversion kits with requisite tools and a proper instruction manual will make into a very good product. This will definitely find a reasonable amount of demand from rural India where an electric cycle can make a big difference in the day to day life of people. Children travel long distances to schools and colleges to study and man and women folk travel daily to their place of work.
An electric cycle would be a boon to their life.

Here, a special mention needs to made by this man from Hissar in Haryana, Mr.Gursaurabh Singh. His Delhi based Dhruv Vidyut has developed DVECK (Dhruv Vidyut Electric Conversion Kit). He became famous overnight after having uploaded the video of his invention to Social Media. It has been reported that even Mr.Anand Mahindra, showed his interest in investing in his project.

In his tweet Mr.Mahindra, the CEO of Mahindra & Mahindra, mentioned that this is not the first motorised bicycle in the world. But this is an excellent design, is compact and rugged. Its a clever design that thoughtfully has an inbuilt mobile charging point too!

One significant reason for the idea getting popular is the single bar bicycle has served as the most dependable mode of transportation in India. However, with the ongoing electrification of cars and scooters in the nation, it was time for an upgrade for this reliable old bicycle. Gursaurabh Singh, the creator and founder of Dhruv Vidyut, focussed on this most common model of cycle. He developed the stunning Dhruv Vidyut Electric Conversion Kit (DVECK), which enables the common single-bar bicycle used by Indians to be converted into a motorised and battery-powered vehicle. This conversion kit (DVECK), which makes it possible to convert the common single-bar bicycle used by Indians into a motorised, battery-powered vehicle.

The kit is a complete bolt-on part, and the video also emphasised that no welding, cutting, or other modifications are necessary to make it fit. The kit’s use of aircraft-grade aluminium, which makes it lightweight and rustproof, was also highlighted in the video. Last but not least, the inventor also depicts him riding a bicycle while stating that 20 minutes of pedalling is all it takes to charge the kit to 50%. That in itself is a game changer for any villager, because despite rapid electrification under Shri Narendra Modi government in recent years, the dilapidated infrastructure results in many hours lost in maintenance and repair.

Mr.Gursaurabh Singh has also interacted with the popular show, Shark Tank India and pitched his invention DVECK – Dhruv Vidyut Electric Conversion Kit.
